Philippines. Vol. 3. Text Me

Amongst other things, my parents have learned to text on their mission. Granted, they gave it a fair shot before leaving- with a message to a sister of mine...whilst in Hawaii on vacation:

(translation) At the beach, how do you space?

Many things I loved about my visit, this however left me shocked and proud of my parents for bridging any generation gap concerning technology that may have once existed. I do however have a feeling that this will end with their 

time in Asia.

Texting is the most affordable way to communicate in the Philippines. People will buy a phone, and then load it with pesos so that they can text. 1 text = 1 peso, 1 peso = 4.2 cents. Makes total sense.
