Philippines. Vol. 3. Text Me

Amongst other things, my parents have learned to text on their mission. Granted, they gave it a fair shot before leaving- with a message to a sister of mine...whilst in Hawaii on vacation:

atthebeachhowdoyouspace
(translation) At the beach, how do you space?

Many things I loved about my visit, this however left me shocked and proud of my parents for bridging any generation gap concerning technology that may have once existed. I do however have a feeling that this will end with their
time in Asia.

Texting is the most affordable way to communicate in the Philippines. People will buy a phone, and then load it with pesos so that they can text. 1 text = 1 peso, 1 peso = 4.2 cents. Makes total sense.Posted by Picasa

Hooray for technology! But beware, once your parents crossover there is no going back...maybe your next lesson to Aunt Deb should be texting etiquette for which the technologically able world has an unspoken understanding...just because someone CAN get a text doesn't mean they should...just sayin. Also Aunt Deb looks fabulous.
