Peace out Parents

My Dad and Mom are shipping out to the Philippines for the next couple of years. This move has found me reminiscing and thinking of all the things that they have passed onto me. I digress.

FROM MY DAD:
1. The ability to fall into a deathly deep slumber. (I have also recently been falling out of bed- maybe I got that from him too.)
2. We both hate watermelon.
3. We both like our steak medium rare.
4. Brown Eyes.
5. Weak Ankles.

I also recently heard the best story about my dad, arguably ever. One time he and my mom went to Jamaica for a business trip. No passports were needed, however they both were required to bring a birth certificate to enter back into the US.

Who knew that the certificate that you get at a the hospital upon your birth counts as a certified document. He did. He brought the slip of paper referring to him as Baby Boy Byram fully equipped with two perfect ink infant footprints.

FROM MY MOM:
1. An internal beacon for the nearest Nordstrom.
2. We're both phone talkers.
3. Neither of us can sit still.
4. We both need agendas.
5. Oddly long fingers. (I seriously should be a hand model- minus the giant scar that would have to be photo shopped, they're my best feature...sadly)

How fun! Let me know when they are speaking in church! Jeremy served there too. I'm so excited for your parents. Love them to death!

Awesome I didn't know they were going to serve a mission! What is their assignment going to be? Missions are awesome experiences for parents--and for their children. We have really benefited from our parents' service.

Total confirmation on the zombie like trance you enter at night. I remember you coming in like an hour after I fell asleep (most nights), flipping on the light and saying, "hill, you awake?!"
then you'd jump into bed and be comatose in five flat. amazing.

tangent: do you remember attempting to literally jump into a pair of pants from your college bed that was up on cinderblocks?

and give my best to the parentals.

That's awesome. We'll have to come to their farewell too. Devin thinks of them as his second parents! Oh... and Rich acquired those long fingers too! I remember thinking that when he was flipping me off once! :)
