My Apologies for the previous post, I was having a technical difficulty or two.
We just got back from the Byram family vacation, and a good time was had by all. I had been in Florida for work the week before, and California the week before that so it was a nice relaxing get a way. And obviously if you know anyone in my family you know it wasn't relaxing- we had plans and a schedule from the get go. (which I can appreciate, I HAVE TO HAVE AN AGENDA)
This marked Scott's first family trip with us- he came last time but I hadn't made an honest man out of him yet- in fact he and my mom spent the last vacation stuffing wedding invites while I hallucinated with a one million degree temperature.
DAY 1- Arrive safely at Wayne Newton airport (I know it's John Wayne- but one of my friends once told the lady at the Delta counter- "Wayne Newton please"- the ticketing agent found it way less funny that we did) Next we met up with the rest of the gang- minus Canadians- for dinner at "Cafe Coyote" - worth noting- Jesse face remembered the name of this establishment from 2 years ago. Jesse face who forgets cars at the airport, but never a good bean burrito. We also found a 2 story Target which left a lasting impression on several of us.
DAY 2- Sea World. After adjusting to the scent (my sense of smell is freakishly strong, rivaling even that of a beagle) we saw sharks, sea lions, rays- that after thousands of time at the park I finally touched- and of course made it to an afternoon showing of "Believe" (the Shamu show for the uncultured person). 2 of my sisters cried, who knew a Killer Whale could be so inspiring.
DAY 3, 4, AND 5- THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH. I LOVE, LOVE AND I MEAN LOVEDISNEYLAND. My favorite treat- the chocolate covered frozen banana- it costs $4, and is worth every last cent- I had 2. Because I force him to watch the food network, Scott discovered a corn dog stand that was featured. Surprisingly he only had 1- probably 15 were consumed by the whole lot of us. Excluding me- not a fan. Scott also made it to the Buzz Light Year Hall of Fame. As of our last score check he was ranked #6, this may or may not have been thanks to a little online research pointing out several key targets. (Buzz is a game where you try to capture Zurg by hitting as many lightning bolts as you can- remember they are worth more when they are lit- or so I'm told)
DAY 6- Slept in, ate BFAST, got a pedicure caught the air bus back to Utah.
Oh yeah- and turns out my mom and dad are going on a mission- my dad will never go to the Philippines again though- or he'll eat his words and go this spring. Jury's still out on who gets to be the senior companion. Maybe I'll go with them, then the choice would be obvious. We are proud they are going, and will miss them. (can't talk about it anymore the subject has been known to make me emotional)
