Everything tastes better in TEXAS

Please note, I have been home from Texas for about 2 weeks. However, we have been battling the flu so I haven't bothered to post. Which, I would like to thank my nephew Oliver for, had it not been for him, I wouldn't have been able to do up any of my pants upon our return. (a little boy in his daycare had the swine, and he had been sick too- we came home with it- not swine, just an illness of sorts)
Day 1-
BFAST- Biscuits and Gravy, sausage (which I hate but was compelled to try- when in Rome), fruit (cancels out the gravy) juice, scrambled eggs.
LUNCH- (At the "Pizza Place" a Whetherford classic, where Scott ate at least weekly in High School) A cheese and tomato pizza, garlic cheese bread sticks and a number of bites of Scott's hamburger pizza. (I did however forgo the salad- didn't want to waste calories on that ranch dressing, especially because I dipped my entire meal in it)
SNACK- Blue Bell Cookie Dough Ice Cream, in a waffle cone obviously. (I have never seen an ice cream with a better chunk to ice cream ratio- I probably raved about it for 10 straight minutes)
DINNER- BBQ'd at my brother-in-laws. I ate Chicken and part of Scott's Steak, baked potato (duh, with sour cream) beans (my gosh they were amazing)
DESSERT- Strawberry Shortcake- (which I normally don't touch anything that isn't doused in chocolate, but I managed to find room for it)
I'd document the rest, but I'm suddenly grossed out by myself. Go to Texas, eat everything you see, come home sick and appetite-less. I wouldn't have it any other way.
PS- The best thing about the whole state: their fountain drinks come in Styrofoam cups. Even at McDonald's. I had approximately 12 of them.

mmm, yes I experienced a superior Blizzard from DQ a few weeks back that had more cookie dough than a respectable person could stomach-but I'm not ashamed. I polished it off like a pro.
