The South

Scott's family is quite enjoyable to say the least. We are approaching 1 1/2 years of married life and as of this summer, I have officially met everyone. (less a couple of cousins). We spent a few days in the Charlotte area, and after getting over my claustrophobia, (trees are absolutely everywhere) I took a liking to the South. And....in the event it rises again I'll be torn. Why wouldn't you want to be on the side of the team who frys everything?

TOP LEFT- Scott's Grandpa's grave site. My favorite part about the visit to the cemetery; (In the words of Scott's Grandma, "The baptists would croak if they new they were housing a Mormon."
TOP RIGHT- An example of why I felt so trapped. Trees cover everything, absolutely everything.
BOTTOM LEFT- Scott's Uncle Jim is a large animal vet, and he happened to be working on one of the Budweiser Clydesdale's. A beautiful animal, from a distance (which is the way I feel about all pets)
BOTTOM RIGHT- (I know my face works weird) This is where I feel like we should retire (hopefully sooner than later). Across the Water is a row of homes with pull through boat garages, that way you can park your watercraft and be indoors one step off the dock. GENIUS.

LEFT- Scott, Grandma Peggy and Me. She is an awesome lady, and really- really- really funny. She was very excited to have us there, and couldn't belive Scott could possibly have found such a beautiful and talented wife. (Maybe that part was made up, my other half should blog more if he is worried about false accusations though)
CENTER- Aunt Cindy and Uncle Jim have a jeep. They took us "crawling" about 5 minutes into the ride, Jim stopped the Jeep and told me to trade him places. (I told him my driving record afterwards) This manuver was Scooter Bug's.
RIGHT- Apparently Daniel Boone, hid out in this cave for a while. Scott went clear in, I was too afraid of the potential that a bird/bat/bugs would get me, I enjoyed it from a distance.
We had a great time, and can't wait to go back very soon!

Let's hope the south doesn't rise again, what a hard choice. Glad to have you back to blogging!
