I DO REGRET NOT PRACTICING THE PIANO MORE :(
I took Piano Lessons for about 13 years. I like some of you, probably had the greatest teacher in life. Not many people would:
#1. Wake up at 5:30 AM for weekly lessons
#2. Invite you to stay at her house while your parents went out of town ( I still maintain this was my mother's way to maximize my practicing efforts)
AND
#3. Schedule surprise lessons before any major competition. (But seriously, she hands down is the best teacher in the world, and one of my favorite people on the planet)
I recently happened upon a piano. (That's what happens when you finally get around to moving into your home.) And, I've been practicing. I'm sure Scott (identity revealed) is enjoying this more than anyone. It's all part of my plan to lobby for what I deem the best calling in the world, Primary Pianist.
I will end with one memory from my musical career....picture this please-
Snow Building; Rexburg, Idaho; Early November; Upper Snake River Valley Piano Festival
Kristen, nervously waiting to be announced into the Concert Hall
Judge sitting inside waiting for me. (The judge will remain nameless, I still get nervous uttering said name)
Kristen takes the bench, begins technical requirements (Scales, Arepegios and Chords) for her song "Venetian Boat Song" (Yes I still remember the name)
Kristen (no idea why I'm using 3rd person) is half way through the technical requirements
Judge exclaims, "That's Enough"
Kristen- nearly choked, but ended up with a 98/100 :)

Kristen, I can still hear your mom telling you, you had to practice before going to do anything! I love your mom. She is the greatest. And I hope you get your dream calling!
I forgot you played the piano! So did you get a piano. We have one and well... we need to play it more! Miss you!
I can still rock a mean Vandall Prelude!
